Volkswagen AG is resurrecting its iconic microbus, which debuted in 1950 and became a favorite of hippies for its unique styling and copious space for travelers. They promise the new microbus will be completely different, however, and not like a microbus at all.

“It would sell a lot more if it were like a real microbus, plus be a sound and even fun business decision,” explains a VW spokesperson who insisted on anonymity. “Instead, we decided to go with a cool-looking minivan and market it as The Resurrection Of The Microbus.”
